My employer, Xcelerate Media, was asked by the Historic Dublin (Ohio) Business Association to rebrand a monthly community event called Slainte. Dublin is a community that takes great pride in it's Irish roots, but the problem was that nobody knew what the heck Slainte meant...so they wanted to rename the event and rebrand it as something more fun and catchy. I was tasked with renaming and rebranding the event. Simple, catchy name communicating the requisite degree of Irish-ness? "Jig". Simple catchy slogan? "Do The Jig."
From there, it was a matter of creating a logo and promotional materials that were both fun and communicated classic Irish heritage. And of course, what advertising campaign for a fun Irish event would be complete without a wacky Leprechaun? Yeah, we went there.
